Black Keys to Release New Album, 'Brothers,' in May
While collaborating with Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash on BlakRoc and working on their own solo projects, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of the Black Keys found some time to get in the studio and work on a new album. 'Brothers,' the duo's sixth album, has been slated for release on May 18. According to Pitchfork, 'Brothers' was mainly recorded in Alabama's Muscle Shoals studios where Auerbach and Carney produced most of the tracks themselves. However, the album will feature one song that's produced by Danger Mouse, who oversaw their 2008 record, 'Attack and Release.'
The Black Keys have announced summer tour dates on their site and will be playing at Bonnaroo and a sold-out show at the Central Park SummerStage.
