Disco Biscuits Will Host LCD Soundsystem, Ween, Diplo at Camp Bisco

When the Disco Biscuits held their first Camp Bisco in the Summer of 1999, they imagined hosting a festival that featured jam bands during the day and electronica acts all night, with the Biscuits themselves being the bridge between the two. As the saying goes, they've come a long way, baby.On Wednesday, the Disco Biscuits unveiled the lineup for Camp Bisco 9 and, as promised, it is their strongest roster yet. It also somehow reflects their original intent of bringing together different genres that they, as a band, tend to traverse across -- but it is an evolved notion of their original plan, that's for sure. In addition to three nights and multiple sets of the Disco Biscuits, this year's featured acts will include LCD Soundsystem, Ween, Thievery Corporation, Major Lazer, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Diplo and Girl Talk. As with previous years, the Biscuits will showcase some of their peers, such as Brothers Past and the New Deal. They'll also save room for some hip-hop, this year represented by Gift of Gab (Blackalicious). For the complete lineup, and ticket information, visit the official festival website.
Camp Bisco is a three-day multi-stage festival held at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, N.Y., in the mountains just above Albany. Yes, it involves Bisco kids, ravers and hippies all camping out for three days and so, naturally, it gets a little dirty. But, unlike Bonnaroo, the bathrooms actually have toilets that flush. Insiders tip: make sure you sign up for and participate in the annual color war. You're our boy, blue!
