Flaming Lips to Take Pink Floyd Show on the Road

The Flaming Lips have announced plans to take their Pink Floyd tribute album on the road. The Olklahoma neo-prog rockers digitally released a track-for-track remake of Floyd's classic 'Dark Side of the Moon' album (with help from electropopper Peaches, hardcore icon turned spoken-word ranter Henry Rollins and fellow Okies Stardeath and the White Dwarfs) back in December, and now Wayne Coyne and co. have plotted a tour in support of the physical version of the covers disc. The 'Lips version of the 1973 stoner classic -- full title 'The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon' -- will be available on vinyl from April 17 and CD from May 4.
The band will play a couple of shows in Texas next week before setting out in earnest on Apr. 15. Following the completion of the short tour, the 'Lips have a series of outdoor shows and festival dates lined up. Full gig details below:
