Not every punk band robbery can go as smoothly as it did for NOFX's Fat Mike, as Lucero drummer Roy Berry suffered a broken jaw after being mugged last week following a gig in Augusta, Ga. According to Punknews.org, Berry -- who has since had his jaw wired shut -- was with the band's guitarist, Brian Venable, who wasn't injured in the robbery. The band, which is currently supporting its most recent album, '1372 Overton Park,' has been forced to cancel and reschedule this weekend's shows in Jackson, Miss., and Huntsville, Ala. The Memphis sextet reports that Roy will recover. There's no word yet if additional dates on Lucero's ongoing tour, which includes gigs next weekend in Chattanooga and Nashville, will be cancelled.
The band's trek is currently slated to wrap in Houston, Texas on April 17, following a performance the day prior at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. Lucero is also slated to play at Bonnaroo the weekend of June 11-13.
