Wakey! Wakey!, 'Twenty-Two' (RAC Maury Remix) -- Song Premiere

Two months after premiering their song, 'Twenty-Two,' on Spinner, New York-based band Wakey!Wakey! have come out with a remix of the same tune. While the original is bright and upbeat, the RAC Maury remix of the track takes it to the dark side -- which frontman Mike Grubbs says is the underlying theme -- replete with heavy beats and added electro noise.

Although Grubbs enjoys his indie-pop acoustic sound, he is very open to experimenting with electronic music. "It's really amazing to hear our song reworked like this. I'd love to work with more artists in the electronic realm," he tells Spinner. "I love pop music as well, of course, but someday I hope to lock myself in a studio with Dan Deacon and Dave Sitek and see what happens."
