30 Seconds to Mars Grateful for Fan Support -- Exclusive Video

Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to MarsWhile it seemed that struggles with their record label would lead to the end of 30 Seconds to Mars, the Los Angeles-based rock band made sure that this wouldn't get them down and marched on to record and release 'This Is War' in 2009. Following 2005's 'A Beautiful Lie,' the new album showed fans just how much the band has grown over the years and that they still had something to say.

"It's an accurate depiction of the interests we have at this time in our life," 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto told Spinner when the band stopped by our NYC studio. "It's really what we wanted to say in musical terms, and that's what's great about making music -- you have an opportunity to redefine, rediscover, to reinvent, and we're really excited about the songs."

Taking two years to record the album, the band didn't only just lock themselves up in the Hollywood hills and write songs, but they also invited fans to sing on the album when the band hosted its "Summit" last year. With more than 701,000 MySpace friends and over 79,000 followers on Twitter, the band is more than thankful for the dedicated fanbase they've had over the years.

"I suppose, when you think about the fans, the audience around the world, it's like this amazing dysfunctional family -- just a sense of gratitude and awe, respect, pride, a lot of great people around the world that we've been able to share this journey with," Leto said. "We're very blessed."

The band is currently on their world tour, 'Into the Wild,' which kicked off in the UK in February. However, there's one city in particular that the Leto is very excited about. "It's the biggest tour we've ever done," he said. "We've sold out Wembley arena, and those milestones are really just a lot of fun. It's surreal that we're playing these legendary places."

With three albums under their belt and sold-out shows all over the world, 30 Seconds to Mars aren't doing too shabby. But there's one still on thing they'd like to do. "I would really like to hear Barack Obama on a 30 Seconds to Mars song," Leto says. "He's got the voice. He's got the timbre."

I saw 30stm in concert there in Dublin at the O2 and they were AMAZING! I had never been to one of their concerts before but they were just brilliant...whey they say they are grateful to their fans they really mean it, jared came up to the seated area and let some people on stage it was fantastic!. I am considering going to oxygen this year just to see them again!!! lol....best concert i have ever been to, it just felt like you were their friend and you were having the craic with them lol. oh and vanessa, do what you like, i think you are silly. There is too much political issues and agendas in the world today, music is meant to be something anyone, no matter what their opinions or views should enjoy...i think that you deleting them from your playlist is so sad :(

Well like some people are saying a true Echelon wouldn't stop listening to 30 Seconds to Mars over one comment. I myself don't like our president but to stop listening to 30STM because they do is just kind of stupid.

Vanessa: ok, if u dont want to listen 30STM, its ok, there are MUCH MORE GREAT AND BIG THINGS to do than anounced to everyone that u dont agree with one mans opinion... Sooo why dont u do this: donate the money of that album to some charity or better yet, Haití whom is in great need now, and so u dont have to worry any more about telling people what´s good or bad, wrong or right, because instead, you´ll be acting, actually doing what u intempt to make evey person to do, because u say so... I know FOR SURE, Jared wont mind!!! No, he´ll be happy, for sure! VIVA 30STM desde Costa Rica!!!! jajajajja Pura Vida!!! ...so guys when are u comin´???

Well if Vanessa if you were a true echelon and were commited to this dysfunctional family then you wouldn't just be pissed that they like something you dont like and then leave, but oh well you aren't really worthy of being apart of thi family :) and lol i guess that obamas like our prime minister cause everyone thinks hes a douche but idk why you guys think obamas a douche XD
