Lily Allen to Launch 'Fly on the Wall' TV Show

Lily Allen is to be the subject of a new fly-on-the-wall documentary, according to the Sun newspaper.

The 24-year-old singer, who trained as a florist before becoming a pop star, is opening a designer clothes hire shop, called Lucy In Disguise, together with her sister. Film crews will record her move from the music business to the rag trade.

It's not the first time Allen has been on TV. In 2008, she presented the chat show 'Lily Allen and Friends' on BBC Three. It received poor reviews and despite being re-commissioned for a second series Allen turned it down.

The move to reality TV comes after Allen's announcement last September that she has "no plans" to record a follow-up to her 2009 number one album It's Not Me It's You.

"The days of me making money from recording music have been and gone as far as I'm concerned," she wrote in her blog. That hasn't stopped her setting up a new record label, which will also feature in the show. "I think things need to change in the music industry and we need to rethink a lot of stuff," she has said. Lover her or hate her, it's sure to be entertaining viewing.

I dont really care if Lily does or does not make another song, although I do have a couple of her tunes on the MP3, I am not a great fan.
However I would love to spend a night with her and that is about the only interest I have in little miss Allen

I think she probably burned out in the music industry because of her potty mouth. Make an album with explicit lyrics and that may be why a lot of people won't buy it. There's no need for it in everyday conversation I think. I loved her voice even her videos but cringed at the f-word being used so casually. Maybe I'm just getting old. If she washed out her mouth she could make a good album.

You ARE old. Her music is FUCKING awesome :) Her last album is amazing! She's just real. Go listen to Hilary Duff or something...you won't hear any cursing. If you want to listen to the best of the best in pop music, you listen to Lily.

I love Lily Allen! I am for one excited to see her in a Reality show. I don't watch very many but i will watch hers. I also love her music.

Just what "must see" TV needs.. Another reality show. I can't imagine how unfulfilled one's life must be to waste precious hours of their life sitting and watching someone else's mind-numbing daily routines. There are absolutely no more good writers or ideas left if this is what is being pushed out as "entertainment".

I think she knew deep down she wasn't a musician in that she didn't have much of a voice or could even play a musical instrument well. She's looking to be the new "celebrity" Someone who doesn't necessarily have any talent other than the tenacity to be in front of a camera and make a life interesting enough for people to watch.

I think she's very cute and her music is pop catchy, does that translate into watching her open up a clothing business on TV?

...I don't own a TV.

She's a singer from the UK. You should listen to her song 'The Fear'. It's also a catchy song, but listen to the lyrics as well. It's a commentary on the materialism and culture of celebrity lifestyle. This is a pop song that actually has some significance. It was number one on the UK charts for a while.
