Going to SXSW 2010?
- Posted on Mar 12th 2010 7:00PM by Melissa Olund
Help Us Cover SXSW, Part Two!Spinner staff and contributors are heading to Austin for the SXSW Music Festival 2010, but we can't be everywhere at once! Your eyes and ears can help us cover every nook and cranny of the Capital City, just like they helped us interview the bands showcasing at SXSW.
If you spot something incredible, outrageous or otherwise notable at SXSW, you're invited to submit a brief story and photograph to us for consideration for publication on Spinner.com. Get all of the details about this opportunity on Seed.com. You must be logged in to Seed to view the assignment.
We'll start accepting submissions on Wednesday, March 17, when the Music portion of SXSW officially kicks off, and will continue accepting submissions for review through the end of the festival on March 21.
You're Invited: Pop-Up Series and Soul Revue
Whether you join in on our coverage or not, the reason you're going to SXSW is the music. Us, too. To that end, AOL and Spinner.com are presenting a series of concert events during the week, and you're invited.
Our Pop-Up Series includes Broken Bells, Rogue Wave, VV Brown and Rival Schools at yet-to-be-revealed locations around Austin all week. Follow us on Twitter at @SpinnerSXSW to get the big reveal for each show.
On Friday night, AOL's Spinner Soul Revue features the legendary Smokey Robinson, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Raphael Saadiq, Mayer Hawthorne and the County, and Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears.

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings will tear it down. For those catching up on the festival - peep shots from SXSW (Ashton Kutcher, Twitter's Evan Williams, more). http://bit.ly/mbsxsw
