- Posted on Mar 15th 2010 7:10AM by Julian Marszalek
Taking a very short break from mixing and mastering their new and as-yet-untitled new album, British Sea Power have announced details of an upcoming tour of England and Scotland to take place in April and May.Kicking off at the Colchester Arts Centre on April 25, the 12-date tour wraps up at London's Bloomsbury Ballroom on May 25. Prior that, British Sea Power will also make an appearance at Glasgow's Hinterland festival on April 3.
It's also anticipated that the Brighton-based group will play last year's documentary soundtrack, 'Man of Aran,' at London's St Anne's Church on April 27 and Sheffield's Showroom two days later on April 29. The band will also make several appearances at the Tan Hill Inn which is claimed to be the highest pub in Britain.
There also remains the very real possibility of fans hearing new material. Writing on their blog last week, British Sea Power said, "We go into the studio at the end of the week to mix the new album, which will be all wrapped up in a few weeks. We're all very positive about it, and will hopefully be able to let you hear a track in a month's time."
