J Mascis Reveals His SXSW Plans

At Dallas Fort Worth airport, I was sitting in the lounge waiting for my flight, and J Mascis sits down right across from me. I'm pretty sure I saw Lou Barlow waiting to board the flight as well.

After arriving in Austin, I decided that if J is at the luggage carousel, I was going to approach him. Sure enough, I saw the long grey locks I was hoping for and I made my approach.

I asked him about his favorite part of Austin (the Whole Foods' gigantic headquarters location) and what he's most looking forward to at SXSW, but with a schedule of 10 shows, he wasn't sure how much time he'd have to explore. He said he was playing solo gigs as well as slots with Demolished Thoughts.
