GZA Puts on Short, Entertaining Show at SXSW

GZAAt about the 20-minute mark past when Wu-Tang Clan's GZA was supposed to take the stage for his official SXSW showcase, fans started to become irritable, restless and wondering aloud if those rumors he was a no-show the night before were coming true at this point. But soon after, GZA finally took to the stage with Killah Priest, where they sort of just stood in place, rapped and tried to keep their eyes open. Seriously, it looked like GZA was struggling with something -- being animated -- but that didn't detract from the crowd shouting "Wu" and "Forever" at any given opportunity.

Because they went on so late, they didn't have much time to work with, but GZA and Killah did run through Ol' Dirty Bastard's 'Shimmy Shimmy Ya' as well as GZA tunes such as 'I Gotcha Back' and 'Crash Your Crew,' the latter of which was ended abruptly because they had to "peace."

Still, it wasn't like the audience was let down. Girls were pulled onstage for dancing purposes, GZA snapped photos with an audience member's Mr. T doll and, thanks to the help of an onstage handler, no one fell over or passed out. All of this made for a very entertaining 20 minutes.

GZA is currently prepping his seventh studio album which is supposedly scheduled for release sometime later this year.

In 1998, Nike began production of the Dunk once again. But new non-team

colors were soon introduced. At this time, Nike often released the same

dunk in two different versions consisting of reversed colors. The Nike shoes

released from 1998 to 2000 featured a nylon tongue and arch supports,

distinguishing them from today's dunk releases. Overall, the

reintroduction of the dunk proved to be extremely successful and

production numbers have since increased to meet growing demand.
Nike's basketball shoe line was fairly popular in the skateboarding

scene, and the Dunk soon became a popular shoe for skaters due to the

stability and lower profile sole which improved grounding performance.

After some time, Nike created a Dunk specifically for skateboarders,

known as the cheap nike

shoes. It features an extra-padded "puffy tongue" (common

among skateboarding sneakers) and Nike's patented Zoom Air insole. Since

then, the SB Dunk has become a popular icon for enthusiastic sneaker-

collectors, and has hit the streetwear fashion scene. Nike currently

In 1998, Nike began production of the Dunk once again. Initial releases were classic university colors, but new non-team colors were soon introduced. At this time, Nike often released the same dunk in two different versions consisting of reversed colors. The Nike shoes released from 1998 to 2000 featured a nylon tongue and arch supports, distinguishing them from today's dunk releases. Nike currently collaborates with many designers to create special edition and collectible Dunks. The popularitiy of these discontinued nike shoes has grown so wide that it has prompted Nike to create many other kinds of shoes specifically for skateboarding such Paul Rodriguez's, Tre's, Blazer's, and Team Editions to name a few. These shoes mimic the colorways and limited quantities of that of Nike Dunk Sb's, which increases their value and appeal.
