Noel Gallagher Makes Advert Cameo, Liam Announces Debut Single

Noel Gallagher has made a brief cameo in the new Adidas Originals advert -- as a street busker performing to a crowd of people -- as part of its 'Neighbourhood' theme.

The former Oasis guitarist makes his brief appearance 28 seconds into the minute long advert for the sportswear brand. Other celebrities who appear in the promo include fellow Mancunian musician Ian Brown, rapper Snoop Dogg, N-Dubz and footballer David Beckham.

The cameo is one of Noel Gallagher's first public appearances since he quit Oasis last August, and he is also due to headline the Royal Albert Hall on March 25 and 26 as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust shows -- his first solo shows since parting from brother Liam.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher -- who previously declared that his first post-Oasis album would be released in July -- has this week now said his debut single will be ready this October. Speaking to Asahi, a Japanese magazine, the frontman said the album would now follow next year. The band line-up is expected to include fellow Oasis members Andy Bell and Gem Archer.
