Rufus Wainwright Interview -- Exclusive Video
- Posted on Mar 19th 2010 12:23PM by John Johnston
Rufus Wainwright returns with new LP 'All Days Are Nights: Song for Lulu', an altogether more cosy affair than his previous offering."After hiding behind a 70-piece orchestra with my opera you can blame everything on the tuba player. With this album when the curtain is raised it's me on my own" says Rufus. The album references Shakespeare's 'Sonnet 43' and Rufus' own concept of 'Lulu', which he described as a "dark, brooding, dangerous woman that lives within all of us."
In Spinner's exclusive video, Rufus discusses his history and relationship with the piano and the pros and cons of playing solo and with a band.
