Regrettably, his numerous pulic comments display a profound immaturity, insensitivity, lack of common sense and decency, and general inane view of society. It is inexplicable how such a silly and embarrasing individual can write and perform such songs that display depth and understanding of real life situations. John Mayer should now focus upon his own personal emotional and intellectual development and to that end, I wish him well. His music, creative gifts, and hard work honing his skills all speak for themselves; with little need for any additional commentary from him or anyone else. I am sure that my comments reflect the thoughts of many of his fans who continue to be disappointed when Mr. Mayer continually inserts his foot in his mouth whenever given the opportunity. His fellow musician role models who he purports to emulate should perhaps take the time to teach him more than chords and guitar licks. Perhaps, notable individuals such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and other extraordinary artists who have professionally collaborated with Mr. Mayer need to have a private conversation with him. It is obvious that Mr. Mayer is sorely in need of such mentoring.
