AM's distinctive melodic swagger is so impressive that it convinced French electro-pop duo Air to take the multi-instrumentalist out on their North American tour. Now AM is spreading his global sound around the country in support of his sophomore album 'Future Sons & Daughters.'The New Orleans native will be checking in with personal notes and photos all along his 12-date run with Air. In his second Road Report, AM talks about his Washington, D.C. show and the perks of band living.
Blogging a bit behind schedule but here we go. Left Washington, D.C. a bit late after an unexpected late-night hang that ended up at Ben's Chili Bowl...yikes. To backtrack, we had a great show in Orlando at the Hard Rock. Beautiful room. After that we went to play a sold-out show in Atlanta. I asked the audience where we should eat breakfast before we leave town (since the south is the KING of breakfasts). We were invited to J. Christopher's by the owner, and he totally hooked us up. Pancakes, grits, bacon...wow.
D.C. was an amazing show. The 9:30 Club is a killer venue and the staff was so good to us. I think from now on we need to be rockin' salads exclusively. Damn you, Ben's Chili Bowl!!! Next stop: Philly. Guess what we'll be eating there? Follow me @amsounds, if you are on Twitter.
