Editors Gig Disrupted by Fist Fight

Of all the gigs you'd expect to be halted by an outbreak of mid-set violence, the Editors at Folkestone Leas Cliff Hall would be fairly low on the list. Nevertheless, it was a case of bad vibes at the seaside when the gloom-friendly outfit played the venerable clifftop venue on the English south coast on Tuesday night.

The Joy Division-influenced indie rockers were midway through their performance when security staff brought proceedings to a stop in order to break up a punch up between two fans. The fighting gig-goers were escorted from the hall before the gig could recommence. One of the brawlers was reportedly questioned by police, but no charges were brought, the NME reported.

Editors bring their atmospheric anthems and scrap-happy fanbase to Brixton on Wednesday as they continue their UK tour.
