U2 Readying DVD of Rose Bowl Concert
- Posted on Mar 24th 2010 10:30AM by John D. Luerssen
U2's historic Rose Bowl performance, which set an attendance record last fall when the band played for nearly 100,000 fans, will be released on DVD this year, according to the Los Angeles Times. While specifics on the project are unclear, video for the show, which was streamed online via YouTube, should be in ample supply."The band are still working on the content of the DVD," the post continues, revealing little else. Thankfully, the L.A. Times posted a setlist from the show, which was long on material from U2's latest effort, 'No Line on the Horizon' while digging deep into its songbook for 1984's "The Unforgettable Fire' and serving up tunes from its 30-year career.
Meanwhile, the band's upcoming, three-disc limited-edition remix album featuring the likes of Hot Chip, Trent Reznor and Justice -- which comes in a customized gatefold sleeve –--is available for purchase until May 14th through the band's site. Marking the first U2-sanctioned remix set since 1995's 'Melon -- Remixes for Propaganda,' the band is also promising purchasers an instant download of another exclusive track, Snow Patrol's reworking of 'Unknown Caller.'

Apparently the moron Antique whatever actually has something stuck in HIS ears (or is it ass) as opposed to Bono having something stuck in his mouth. U2 is one of the greatest bands in the history of rock. I'm probably older than most of you and as a result I grew up during the earliest and greatest era in rock & roll history. I personall saw Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers 6 times. I saw Siman & Garfunkel OPEN for the Doors and I saw Stevie Wonder OPEN for the Rolling Stones. I saw the Who perform Tommy. I saw Elton John 6 times in the 70s alone and I saw the Concert for Banglasdesh. There are just three bands that I would put in that category and I've seen two of them, the Eagles and the Police. The only other one that I haven't seen live is U2. That's where I'd rank them.

What have you done lately besides whine and make smart-ass commentary? I am glad you are not attending any U2 concerts - you sound like a total jerk. You and Antique Organ should get a room

March 25 2010 at 1:09 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDon't hate on Bono just cause you have no talent. 30 years in the music industry and numerous prices/awards account for both U2's (and consequently, Bono's) talent and longevity, something few musicians have!
