Road Report: AM Gets a Warm Welcome in the Northeast
AM's distinctive melodic swagger is so impressive that it convinced French electro-pop duo Air to take the multi-instrumentalist out on their North American tour. Now AM is spreading his global sound around the country in support of his sophomore album 'Future Sons & Daughters.'The New Orleans native will be checking in with personal notes and photos all along his 12-date run with Air. In his latest Road Report, AM talks about moving up the east coast in unseasonable weather and being vindicated in Boston.
We lucked out with amazing weather on the east coast. Philly felt like Los Angeles and New York couldn't have been more beautiful. The sold-out New York crowd was amazing and Terminal 5 looked like some kind of futuristic Orwellian dance hall. We trekked to Boston next to play the Berklee Performance Hall. It was an interesting experience considering I auditioned to attend the college years ago. I got a letter in the mail saying that if I practiced every day and paid the full tuition, I would be admitted. Needless to say, I didn't go.
