He ain't gonna work on Maggie's Farm no more, but he will be putting in a shift at Kent's Hop Farm this summer. Bob Dylan's first -- and apparently only -- UK concert date of 2010 has been announced with the news the 68-year-old rock legend is set to headline the Hop Farm festival on July 3.Acts preceding the former Robert Zimmerman onstage at the Paddock Wood one-dayer will include neo-folkies Mumford and Sons and Laura Marling. Blues musician Seasick Steve and ex-Libertines singer Pete Doherty have also been confirmed on the bill.
Tickets for the Kentish bash -- now in its third year of existence -- are priced at £65 and are on sale now. It also costs an extra £25 if you want to camp on the site on Friday and Saturday night. With the festival set in 90 acres of verdant countryside, why wouldn't you?
Other acts performing at Hop Farm -- which styles itself as a sponsorship and branding free event -- will be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
