Devendra Banhart Cancels Shows After Breaking Leg in Skateboarding Accident

Houston-based singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart has cancelled the last few shows on his tour. According to his website, Banhart broke a bone in his leg while skateboarding before his set at the Clubhouse in Tempe, Ariz. "I am soooooooooo sorry to all of you who were planning on seeing us and the Grogs and we will really miss playing for you," the statement said. "I wanted to play the shows anyway like in a bed or something but the [doctors] didn't think that was a great idea. Thank you forever for your support, it means the world to us and again, sorry to all of you."
Although the shows in Salt Lake City and Denver are a no-go, the band is still slated to play this year's Isle of Wight Festival in June. In other news, Banhart recently released a video for 'Baby,' which features him clowning around with GZA and members of MGMT and the Strokes. Check it out here.
