Liam Gallagher Offers Fashion Tips

Former Oasis singer-turned-fashion-mogul Liam Gallagher has taken time out from the daily grind of rock 'n' roll to cast his eye over the poor sartorial state of his contemporaries. And he's recommended they turn to him for advice for what is and isn't in this season.Having launched his own fashion range in the shape of Pretty Green, the younger Gallagher brother is currently in the US promoting his wares. Speaking to New York radio station RXP's Matt Pinfield, Gallagher junior revealed the motivation behind starting the clothing label.
He said, "We started off with shoes because I was down to my last pair of suede shoes."
With Pretty Green named after a Jam song, Gallagher said that he'd received the seal of approval from the Modfather himself, Paul Weller.
"He's into it," said Gallagher. "Weller's another one who's always looked cool. I gave him some clothes but I'm still waiting for the cheque in the post!"
According to Gallagher, more bands should turn to him for fashion tips.
"You can see a lot of bands are styled like Coldplay and you know they don't buy their own clothes and you should, you should buy Pretty Green," he said.
He also revealed that his new as-yet-unnamed band -- which features former Oasis members Andy Bell and Gem Archer -- are taking musical inspiration from the glam era of the early 70s as they gear up to record their debut album.
"There's a bit of T-Rex and Bowie on there, I'm telling you there's a good mix of psychedelia but there's some good rock 'n' roll tunes on there."
So does this mean that Pretty Green will be selling stack heeled desert boots? Don't bet against it.
