Doves, Wild Beasts and More Announced for Green Man

The line-up for this year's Green Man Festival continues to be fleshed out, with Doves announced for the headline slot on the Friday night, joining other headliners Flaming Lips and Joanna Newsom.Doves will play Green Man as part of their 2010 tour promoting their forthcoming compilation 'The Places Between: The Best of Doves.'
Joining them on at the festival will be Kendal auteurs Wild Beasts, making their second appearance at Glanusk Park in the Brecon Beacons, after previously playing in 2008. F--- Buttons have been revealed as headliners on the Far Out Stage, while Californian rockers Girls are also on the bill.
Also arriving in Wales on the weekend of August 20-22 are former Beta Band mainman Steve Mason, These New Puritans, Erland and the Carnival, Memory Tapes, Sleepy Sun and Egyptian Hip Hop.
Tickets are available now with an adult weekend ticket priced at £120 ($180). As they did last year, for an extra £35 ($52) organisers are offering a special 'holiday ticket' for fans wishing to enjoy Glanusk Park and it surrounds for three days before the festival actually begins.
And in other Green Man news, the annual Green Man Boat Party is scheduled for May 29. Floating down the Thames will be Matthew and the Atlas, Silver Columns and DJs. A boarding pass is £20 ($30), with more information to be found at the official Green Man website.
