The latest festival to reveal a sizable chunk of its line-up is Germany's Melt! Festival, to take place in Ferropolis over the weekend of July 16 to 18. Joining the likes of already announced Massive Attack, Foals and DJ Shadow for Melt's! 13th edition are, amongst others, '80s revivalist pioneers Goldfrapp, ambient acoustic Norwegians Kings of Convenience and Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke. For Okereke, this announcement is another indication that he intends to start his solo career with a bang, the vocalist having already confirmed to play Manchester, UK's Parklife Festival on June 12. Goldfrapp's unveiling, meanwhile, comes off the back of their recently released fifth album, 'Head First.'
Elsewhere amongst the newly revealed acts are a slew of groups who've found themselves darlings of the hype machine in the past 18 months, in the shape of nu-gazers the Big Pink, Mancunian talents Delphic and Hurts, Texan folkies Midlake and Sweden's Miike Snow. Blogsophere favourites Yeasayer, Health and Dirty Projectors also play -- the latter's set being their only appearance in Germany this year.
Those of a more dance-orientated disposition meanwhile can look forward to Modeselektor, Kode 9 vs. Martyn and Hercules and Love Affair appearing, to go alongside the previously announced Fake Blood and Ricardo Villalobos.
Almost 100 acts have now been revealed for Melt! Festival, and tickets are now on sale. Three-day tickets, valid for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, are €94; Two-day tickets, valid for the Saturday and Sunday are €74 (£66/$100), with camping included in both prices.
