Massive Attack have been unveiled as the Friday night headliners for this summer's Big Chill Festival.Robert "3D" Del Naja and Grant "Daddy G" Marshall are currently promoting their recently released fifth studio album, 'Heligoland.' They have a US tour booked along with a number of North American and mainland Europe festival appearances, but this is their first UK outdoor gig of the summer.
The Bristol duo will be joined at the Aug. 5-8 weekender by M.I.A., who is scheduled to top the Saturday bill. Other artists booked at the Eastnor Castle Deer Park, Herefordshire event include R&B star Kelis, while Spencer Tunick will be creating another of his mass-participation installations as part of Big Chill's Art Trail visual arts programme.
Tunick is famous for creating photographic works that feature hundreds of naked volunteers arranged in artistic formations in incongruous locations. So if you're a fan of art, loping beats and public nudity, you may have just found your ideal summer festival.
