What's That Song in the Amazon Kindle Commercial Sequel?

It takes but 30 seconds to tell this epic tale of a sailor turned scientist who creates a lovely girl but also turns out to be a robber who gets arrested by self-same lovely girl, all set to a darling little tune by Annie Little and Marcus Ashley. In this über-cute follow-up to the first Amazon Kindle commercial, half of the duo singing this romantic ditty -- Annie Little -- happens to be the heroine of the ad as well as that of its equally quirky predecessor, Kindle Commercial 1. And it all started with a contest.
Amazon got a nifty idea and announced an open call for people to produce their own DIY Kindle ads. Of all the finalists, Angela Kohler and Ithyle Griffiths's stop-motion video, shot on a teeny budget in one seven-hour day, emerged victorious. Their winning Kindle advert, scored with the Los Angeles-based Little & Ashley's endearing song 'Fly Me Away' and starring Little, was also an overall win for both Kindle lovers and haters alike. When the creative team benefited from Amazon's sponsorship of their animated work, and the spot became a viral favorite, Amazon commissioned a sequel.
In this follow-up, Little is paired with a geek-chic male co-star, and the animation seems to have gotten a bit of a budget boost, with the complex Van Gogh-esque stormy seas and Little's Tim Burton-ish animated dress sleeves playing well in contrast to the light, poppy track. 'Stole My Heart' parallel-narrates the sailor-robber-lover's story with simple lyrics about heart theft, love at first sight and the subsequent act of following a "lovely girl" around the world. If only all incidents of international stalking turned out this adorable.
