Keith Richards Reveals Love of Books in Upcoming Memoir

Hard partying Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards once secretly aspired to be a librarian, according to a revelation in his upcoming autobiography, 'Life,' which will be released in October. The Sun reports that the man behind some of the most infamous riffs in rock 'n' roll has thousands of books between his various homes and once mulled "professional training" to organize the tomes before ditching the idea for being too overwhelming.A 2007 bidding war netted the Stone co-founder a whopping $7.1 million for the memoir, which the British press called "the holy grail of rock books" according to a Crain's report. According to new details about the project uncovered by the Sun, the guitarist's book will reveal how the London-reared Richards "found refuge in books before discovering the blues."
Richards, 66, worked on the book with non-fiction author James Fox, a longtime friend. Fans will undoubtedly be drawn to the book to see how well Keith -- after decades of drug and alcohol use -- remembers certain parts of his life.

people make too many judgements about others without even knowing them just because someone acts or looks a certain way on the outside doesnt mean that they dont have an entirely different side to them as well people need to look deeper into other people before they make decisions about them because when you make judgements on people you are cheating not only that person from knowing you but you also cheat yourself from knowing them i also love books i love the adventure of where each book is going to take me i am currently reading the pirate lattitudes by michael crichton it was his last book the completed manuscript was found in his home after his death and published it is fantastic i also read the notebook and dear john by nicholas sparks and far and away by sonja massie, angelas ashes by frank mccourt i have read every jane austen most of the classics reading is a treasure that takes you out of your normal life and transports you into the very pages of the novel you are reading when the charachters cry you cry when they laugh you laugh it is as though you are somehow magically transported into there world and are living vicariously through them good for you keith and what a great guitar player too

I learned via books how corageous people can be. The first book I remember doing this was, "Death be not proud". It was a book about a young man who had a brain tumor but continued to go to school untill his death. I learned that this is a gift to learn and it never not important to educate oneself. Some may say why in the face of death and I say to die with the beauty of knowledge is sublime. We can find many answers in the life histories of our fellow man. I still am an avid reader and look forward to reading Keith's book. I beleive there is more than meets the eye with this unique indivdual.
