The band hopes to take kids along with them on some of those trippy adventures when they trek across America this spring, beginning with a pair of sold-out shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco on April 12 and 13. From there MGMT return to the festival grounds of Coachella where, just two years ago, their super-hyped set had tens of thousands of new fans literally overflowing from every side of their performance tent. Not to worry -- this year, they'll be on the main stage.
MGMT will also perform at several other key U.S. festivals this season, including Bamboozle (East Rutherford, N.J.), Sasquatch (George, Wash.) and Lollapalooza (Chicago). They'll also headline some of the country's sickest venues along the way, including a two-nighter at the Crystal Ballroom (Portland, Ore.) beginning June 1, Stubb's Bar-B-Q (Austin) on June 6 and Red Rocks (Denver) on June 11. A full list of dates and ticket information is up now at the band's official website, along with a bunch of other cool stuff.
