Godspeed You! Black Emperor Reunite for ATP

Godspeed You! Black Emperor are re-forming to curate the UK's ATP Nightmare Before Christmas weekender in December.
The Canadian cult band, who built a formidable live reputation on multimedia performances splicing together post-rock with video projections, split in 2003.
In an online statement, the band said, "After a decade's retreat, God's Pee has decided to roll again. It's been a while, and left in the rain, the brakes have rusted and seized -- we'll have to go at it with hammers probably, with elbow grease and with fury, just like the old days all over again." The reunion also marks the return of founder member and guitarist Mike Moya, who left the group in 1998.
The event neatly ties up the 10th anniversary celebrations for All Tomorrow's Parties, who organised the Nightmare Before Christmas. Godspeed You! Black Emperor played at the Bowlie Weekender in 1999, the event that lead to the formation of ATP.
As well as their appearance at the Nightmare Before Christmas -- they play all three nights -- the band are planning handful of European shows, plus a short American tour.
The Nightmare Before Christmas takes place at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead from Dec 3 through 5. Bands confirmed include Deerhoof, Scout Niblett and Minuteman/Stooges bassist Mike Watt.
