Oh, don't worry, they still performed a healthy selection from everybody's favorite album of yesteryear, 'Oracular Spectacular,' too. They even brought out songs from what would've been that album's Side B -- such as 'Pieces of What' -- alongside its obvious hits ('Electric Feel,' 'Time to Pretend').
And although they kept banter to a minimum, frontman Andrew Wyngarden did introduce their new sprawling 12-minute centerpiece 'Siberian Breaks' by saying not only that the song was admittedly "pretty long" but, more to the point, "This is a song we used to smoke weed to." Yeah -- no duh.
MGMT will perform once more in San Francisco on Tuesday night before taking 'Congratulations' to the masses this Friday at Coachella.
