UNKLE, 'Collaboration' (Episode Two) -- Video Premiere

If you watched the video preview for UNKLE's upcoming album, 'Where Did the Night Fall' that Spinner ran last week, you'll recall that this album is going to be unlike anything the group has released in the past. It's a whole new chapter for UNKLE and, fittingly, they invited along an array of special guests and conspirators to celebrate the affair. As founding member James Lavelle explains to Spinner, while he enjoys good company as much as anybody, the age of digital file-sending has radically expanded the possibilities of creative partnerships. "There are people on this record that I've never met," admits Lavelle, "which is unusual."
The conspirators themselves make up an unusual, if appealing, list. They include White Denim, Black Angels, Sleepy Sun and Autolux. But Lavelle says the real treat was being able to lock down Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees fame for a track after years of trying. For his part, Lanegan says that he's been a big fan of UNKLE since their beginnings in the late '90s and that he was honored to partake. Lavelle goes so far as to call the collaboration a "dream come true."
Watch the dream come true for him in living color as he discusses all the special guests that appear on 'Where Did the Night Fall,' in this second behind-the-scenes video below.
