First, the diminutive star headlines Denmark's Roskilde festival on July 4, then he moves to France to play Arras on July 9. Finally, Prince performs on July 10 at Festival Park in Werchter, Belgium.
Rikke Oxner, Roskilde's music director, was thrilled to announce Prince's first Danish concert since 2002. "I've had to pinch myself many times since last night when everything fell into place," he told eFestivals. "Getting Prince to Roskilde has been on our wish list for years."
Roskilde is Prince's only festival appearance, with the other gigs billed as standalone events. One of Europe's biggest music events, this year's Roskilde also boasts Muse, Gorillaz and Them Crooked Vultures.
Glastonbury organisers have long professed a desire to have the Purple One play in Somerset, while Spinner has previously reported on false rumours that he was due to play Coachella. Prince's previous European dates were his surprise gigs at the Grand Palais and La Cigale in Paris last October.
