The Kills are well on the way to completing their next album, the follow-up to 2008's 'Midnight Boom,' according to singer Alison Mosshart. Mosshart, who is joined in the the Anglo-American post punk duo by guitarist Jamie Hince, told BBC 6 Music, "We're kind of half finished, or three quarters of the way finished with the new record. I'm going to go back after this tour and finish it."
Mosshart is currently on the road with Jack White and cohorts as part of her other band, the Dead Weather, who release their second album 'Sea Of Cowards' on May 10, and are also set to play Glastonbury this year.
Speaking of the joy of reuniting with Hince, Mosshart added, "We always try to make a record that sounds totally different than the one before it, or anything we've ever done, so that's usually the hard part, finding that new thing to do between just two people."
The new album will be the Kills' fourth since they first got together in 2000. Mosshart is yet to speculate about any possible release date or title.
