Crystal Castles Announce Autumn UK Tour

Crystal Castles have announced a headline, UK tour for October 2010, including the first all-standing gig at the London Roundhouse. The cult duo of Ethan Kath and Alice Glass cancelled an earlier UK date due to the volcanic ash disruption which closed down Europe's airspace last month.
Already confirmed for a host of summer festivals, beginning with Radio 1's One Big Weekend, Crystal Castles are set to begin their 11-date autumn run (plus a night in Dublin) at Belfast's Mandela Hall on Oct. 8. For the London show on Oct. 15, the Canadian pair are planning to perform in the round, with standing allowed on the balcony for the first time.
Kath, meanwhile, has warned fans not to get too close to his bandmate. In an NME interview reported by Digital Spy, he claimed one audience member was left bleeding after trying to grope Glass. "We had one guy who tried to cop a feel and got a microphone smashed against his skull so hard that he was bleeding all over the place," he said.
"He wanted to sue us and we had to point out that we would countersue for indecent assault and he dropped it." As reported in Spinner, the confrontational duo released their eponymous second album digitally on April 30 after it was leaked online. The physical version is due out on May 24. Their postponed London show, meanwhile, now takes place at Heaven on May 19.
