Music Appreciation: Tom Cruise

If you're Tom Cruise, chances are, you can probably arrange to meet just about anybody. It's a rare position to be in, and the Hollywood superstar was able to take advantage of that power recently when he asked to be introduced to Slash backstage at a Black Eyed Peas concert. "I'm a big fan and I just really wanted to meet you," Cruise told the former Guns N' Roses axeman. Forced small talk followed.

Don't know who Slash is, but they should slash prices when you are going to see any flick with that guy in it. Mission Impossible is trying to get through one of his movies without falling asleep!

Maybe Tom just wanted to confirm his suspicion that Slash is really an alien! No mere human could have produced fretwork as magnificient as he did in "Sweet Child Of Mine". Tom was wired, with a special elite alient-stomping squad listening in to the "small talk"; ready to pounce should their suspicions be confirmed.

Maybe he bought the rights to Sigmund the Seamonster: The Movie and he thinks Slash would be perfect as Sigmund's crazy uncle. No special effects necessary, just need to dye Slash's hair green.

I met Tom Cruise snowboarding in Sun Valley a few years ago he was a really nice guy. Everyone has a right to believe in what they choose to. I wouldn't ever feel the need to knock someone for that, because no one really knows the truth.
