Plenty of establishment figures in the '60s might have thought the Beatles would eat away at the brains of the nation's youth, and now it seems the Fab Four are to be portrayed as zombies in a forthcoming feature film. Based on an illustrated novel by American author Alan Goldsher, the film will be called 'Paul Is Undead: The British Zombie Invasion.'Movie company Double Feature has bought the rights to the film. Its previous credits include 'Erin Brockovich' and 'Pulp Fiction'.
In the book, zombie John Lennon murders the other three Beatles, who then come back to life as zombies and nourish themselves on the brains of fans, while trying to avoid the clutches of archenemy zombie killer Mick Jagger.
Double Feature partner Stacey Sher said, "I am a huge Beatles fan like the rest of the world and Alan's mash-up, which really showcases his love of music history and his appreciation of the zombie world, is a fun, funny read.
"How can you not love a book where Jesus agrees with zombie John Lennon that the Beatles are in fact bigger than him?''
She added the film will be seeking funding and a cast in the near future.
