Damon Albarn has said he's "definitely up for more recordings with Blur." It comes after 'Fools Day,' a limited-edition seven-inch of 1,000 copies released as part of Record Store Day on April 17. It was their first new material since 2003's 'Good Song.'However, Albarn was careful to not to get fans hopes up too much in the interview with NME.com, pointing out that he is still busy with Gorillaz, who released their third album, 'Plastic Beach,' in March.
Gorillaz recently announced a UK tour for September. Albarn also has plans for another opera with graphic artist Jamie Hewlett, the follow-up to 2007's 'Monkey: Journey to the West.'
Albarn added that any new releases would be likely to be one-off tracks, not an album. "I'm definitely going to do a few more of those seven-inches," said the singer. "I love the no pressure aspect. We can't do it all the time. So I don't want anyone to think there's an album coming soon; it's not possible, but we've got songs."
