The Gaslight Anthem are ready to unveil their third album, 'American Slang,' and the band has documented the entire recording process for their fans in a seven-part series called, 'The Making of ... 'American Slang.' In its third installment, guitarist Alex Rosamilia talks about the band's mission to write the "best songs" and infuse soul into every note they play.
"We don't write this for other people," he says. "We're really doing it for us. We want to write the best record we can come up with. We want everyone to like it, and we want to put in elements that people are going to like, but at the end of the day, we want this to be something that we are truly proud of."
