Keith Richards told London radio station XFM the idea had already been discussed within the group. "I have heard a rumour being passed around, but it's in the rumour area," he said. "I have heard the idea being mentioned in passing. Where there's smoke, there's fire, you know?"
He added, "That idea has occurred a few years back, where tonight you do 'Let It Bleed' ... it's an idea that's been around, but we haven't taken it by the horns yet."
Whole-album gigs have become a regular feature, thanks to initiatives such as London's 'Don't Look Back' series that began in 2005 with the Stooges reprising 'Fun House,' among others.
The Who have occasionally returned to their 1973 soundtrack 'Quadrophenia,' most recently in March at London's Royal Albert Hall, London, in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust charity. As for the Stones, their last tour, 'A Bigger Bang,' ended in 2007.
