Keith Richards Hints at Rolling Stones Album Gigs
- Posted on May 12th 2010 5:30AM by Chris Mugan
The Rolling Stones may well be considering concerts dedicated to particular albums from their back catalogue.Keith Richards told London radio station XFM the idea had already been discussed within the group. "I have heard a rumour being passed around, but it's in the rumour area," he said. "I have heard the idea being mentioned in passing. Where there's smoke, there's fire, you know?"
He added, "That idea has occurred a few years back, where tonight you do 'Let It Bleed' ... it's an idea that's been around, but we haven't taken it by the horns yet."
Whole-album gigs have become a regular feature, thanks to initiatives such as London's 'Don't Look Back' series that began in 2005 with the Stooges reprising 'Fun House,' among others.
The Who have occasionally returned to their 1973 soundtrack 'Quadrophenia,' most recently in March at London's Royal Albert Hall, London, in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust charity. As for the Stones, their last tour, 'A Bigger Bang,' ended in 2007.
Those fans champing at the bit to part with hard-earned cash will be pleased to hear the band's online store has been replenished with new goodies, including a band-signed lithograph set that retails at £1999.99 ($2,985).

Todays young folks look at these "old geezers" and think good god dude, lay down and let someone throw the dirt on you! But they dont understand, when you get old, who your are doesnt age as fast as your body.Perhaps they cant hold the notes as long, or hit the high ones as well, but they still giving it their best shot. I say Rock On Stones! Its better to burn out, than to fade away!

As far as I know and can verify... Charlie is still an active Stone, as is Ronnie. When the Stones aren't touring, they all do other things like play with their other bands, Charlie is in a Jazz band, cause he really likes Jazz. Ronnie was running around with a Russian girl for a while, so his wife Jo finally divorced him. He went to rehab again, hopefully hes over the booze and the girl! LOL!
If you knew anything about the STONES, you'd know that stuff!
As far as them "retiring" why should they retire? This is what they do and they are the BEST at it, as long as it makes 'true fans' happy then Keep Rockin' Me Rolling Stones!!
And besides, Keith said that he's not gunna stop till the undertaker comes!! LOL!! So that is AWESOME!
I've seen them 27 times since 1975, and they just get better with time! They are just amazing!
So, if you don't like them then don't see them, don't buy their records, and mostly don't make comments when you clearly don't know what you are talking about!
Take care, and remember to check your facts!

The Stones are the greatest band on the face of the planet. Neck and neck with John Lennon and the Beatles in the early days - Stone history has surpassed them. Stone generosity has proven they are perhaps one of the most socially conscience bands of all times.
