Vampires are sorta known for drawing blood and so it seems duly appropriate that the highly-anticipated track list for the 'Twilight Saga: Eclipse' soundtrack would be drawn out -- rolled out one at a time at the pace of a dead man walking, via MySpace. Worth the wait? Kinda, yeah.In hindsight it seems all too perfect that Vampire Weekend (pictured) would contribute a track ('Jonathan Low'), but other participating artists include Band of Horses ('Life on Earth'), the Dead Weather ('Rolling in on a Burning Tire'), the Black Keys ('Chop and Change'), Muse ('Neutron Star Collision') and Metric ('Eclipse'). There are also several notable collaborations, such as Beck pairing up with Bat for Lashes for 'Let's Get Lost,' and UNKLE teaming up with the Black Angels for 'With You In My Head.' Finally, Sia, Cee-Lo Green, Eastern Conference Champions, Fanfarlo, Florence and the Machine and the Bravery round out the soundtrack.
Anticipation for the album -- not to mention for the film itself -- is at such a fever pitch among 'Twilight' fans that you can pre-order the soundtrack now via the official website. The theatrical release hits the silver screen on June 30, preceded by the related novella, 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner,' on June 5. The music drops on June 8. In other words, June is going to be a huge month for fans of bloodsucking heartthrobs.
