Courteeners and Crystal Castles Added To Underage Festival

The build-up to this year's Underage Festival in London's Victoria Park has gathered pace with the latest batch of announcements. Added to the bill are the Courteeners (pictured), Crystal Castles, Everything Everything and Darwin Deez.

Also newly added are Chiddy Bang, Erik Hassle, Freelance Whales, Tinashe, Scorcher and Taylay.

Underage Festival, now in its fourth year, takes place on August 1 and is headlined by M.I.A, backed up by Tinchy Stryder and New Young Pony Club. Also confirmed are Ellie Goulding, Lightspeed Champion, Egyptian Hip Hop, Hadouken! and Stornoway.

It goes without saying that only those aged 14-18 are allowed to attend. The festival began in 2007 under the organisation of young entrepreneur extraordinaire Sam Kilcoyne with help from promoters Eat Your Own Ears. Over the years the festival has seen sets from the likes of Patrick Wolf, the Horrors, Dizzee Rascal, Foals and Florence and the Machine. This is Crystal Castles' second time at Underage Festival, having also played at the inaugural event in 2007.
