Marilyn Manson Set to Star in Slasher Movie

Marilyn Manson is reported to be starring in a forthcoming slasher film 'Splatter Sisters.'

The film is a "sexploitation-serial-killer-slasher-road-movie" based in 1989 and will be the first in a series inspired by horror classics, according to entertainment industry newspaper Variety (via NME). Manson's fiancee, Evan Rachel Wood, who has recently appeared in the hit TV series 'True Blood' and Oscar-nominated movie 'The Wrestler,' also stars in the film.

It will be produced by Edward R. Pressman, who is currently working on 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,' Oliver Stone's long-awaited follow-up to 'Wall Street'.

Manson is a long-term horror fan. Speaking at the Cannes film festival this weekend, 'Splatter Sisters' co-producer David Gordon Green said, "This is a role Marilyn Manson was born to play, and with Evan Rachel Wood bringing dramatic gravity to the ensemble, I have no doubt this will take the horror genre to a new level."

Manson is also working on 'Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll,' his directorial debut, due for release later this year. A fantasy-horror film about the life of the 'Alice in Wonderland' author, Manson also plays the lead role.

Those of you ripping on Marilyn should realy lay off; think about how you would personally feel if you got famous and people started ripping on you for being fat, wearing odd clothing, and other stuff like that?

Treat others the way you wish to be treated. A policy everyone SHOULD go by but society is damaged.

PS. Can't wait to check it out though! I like some of his songs and covers. ^-^

Actually, negating any of Manson's stage presences, he has worked on many horror films in the past, writing and directing the orchestral scores. He has also conducted the symphonic and composed the electronic portions as well. Whether you find him an entertainer that you want to go see or not, you cannot deny that he is a talented, educated individual.

Well, I may not be a huge fan of Manson's music but I would like to see if he is good at acting or not, and also at directing as well.
