Bono Undergoes Emergency Back Surgery

BonoBono has undergone emergency back surgery in Munich, Germany, according to a statement issued by the band. The U2 frontman injured himself in ways currently unknown, except that it was in preparation for the band's upcoming U2360 tour. He's expected to recover over the next several days but the first gig on June 3, in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been postponed according to U2.com. More information regarding the following gigs is expected. The show following Salt Lake is not until June 6 in Anaheim, Calif.

U2 manager Paul McGuinness released an audio statement on U2.com. Spinner will update as details become more available.
