Eagles of Death Metal Reuniting for L.A. Gig?

A slew of Queens of the Stone Age-affiliated acts, including the Eagles of Death Metal, are set to participate in an unofficial desert rock reunion next Monday night at L.A.'s Spaceland. According to the L.A. Times' Pop & Hiss, the last in a run of Monday night shows by Sweethead, the latest ensemble from QOTSA and onetime A Perfect Circle guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, will present an opportunity for the garage rock giants in EODM to come together. With a couple weeks of downtime from his road duties fronting Them Crooked Vultures, Queens principal Josh Homme is confirmed to perform with his old pal Jesse Hughes when the Eagles play on Monday. TCV touring guitarist Alain Johannes -- another QOTSA veteran -- is also slated to appear at the show.
If that's not enough, Sweethead, which takes its name from a David Bowie B-side, will be joined by Hello=Fire, the solo project by current Dead Weather guitarist/keyboardist Dean Fertita, who also played with the Queens circa 'Era Vulgaris.' Brendan Benson, who plays part-time in the Raconteurs, is also expected to take the stage at some point during the evening. In addition, bassist Michael Shulman -- who replaced Johannes in Queens of the Stone Age in 2007 -- is also confirmed to perform with his band Mini Mansions at Spaceland.
While there's no guarantee that QOTSA will actually reunite to perform, having this many key players in the room can't help but make us feel all tingly inside.

EODM Management
Unfortunately EODM had to pull off the bill.
They will not be playing Monday night. But the other acts are all great, so still go see them!
