Enduring British rock icon Paul Weller is to broadcast online a show from London's Royal Albert Hall. The 52-year-old plays five nights at the South Kensington venue this week, with the show on Thursday, May 27 to be streamed to his fans via the Internet. The Royal Albert Hall residency sees the former Jam frontman showcasing songs from acclaimed new album, 'Wake Up the Nation,' widely regarded as the album that finds Weller rediscovering his punk snarl with many politically motivated themes. As reported by the Independent newspaper, Weller is also delving deep into his past with selections from his previous bands, the Jam and the Style Council
The gig can be watched live online from 8.45pm (BST), and will be repeated several times over the following days. Tickets are available now from the official site, where fans can also watch 15 minutes of footage for free.
Weller, winner of the Godlike Genius Award at this year's NME Awards, has enjoyed a stellar 2010 so far with five sold-out dates the Royal Albert Hall, the success of the new album and the news that he may be finally ready to tie the knot with girlfriend Hannah Andrews.

Aaaaah at long last he's delving into his past! What I wouldnt give to see him front the Jam for a series of one-offs. Every other band in the world has done it except the one I followed when I was a nipper.
'and you men in uniform will have to learn this lesson too, not to turn against your own kind, whenever goverments tell you to!!!'
