Ozzy Osbourne Moots Black Sabbath Reunion
- Posted on Jun 2nd 2010 8:00AM by Julian Marszalek
As he gears up to release 'Scream' -- his 10th studio album of original material -- and embark on a mammoth 18-month world tour, heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne has refused to rule out a reunion with Black Sabbath.Speaking to Rolling Stone, the self-styled Prince of Darkness said, "I love those guys -- [drummer] Bill [Ward], [guitarist] Tony [Iommi] and [bassist] Geezer [Butler]. I never say never anymore because you never know what's going to come around."
Indeed not but while any mooted reunion would have to wait until after Osbourne's globe-straddling promotional duties, Ozzy will definitely be re-visiting Black Sabbath's influential back catalogue though fans are warned not expect the obvious.
He said, "I have such a body of work to pick from now I want to try some different songs other than 'Iron Man' and 'War Pigs.' I'll always have to do 'Paranoid' because that's my anthem. I wouldn't mind doing 'Fairies Wear Boots' or something different just to see how it goes."
'Scream' is released on June 22 and Ozzy Osbourne's world tour kicks off at Folkstone's Leas Cliff Hall in England on June 29.

Greetings for all the new fans...Chill out and enjoy the wonders and the beauty of Metal Music and LIFE !!!!!! Ciao, and greeitngs for all...Vic.........

Others like it, Megalomania, Hole in the Sky, After Forever, are all great songs the crowd would love, but are never performed. I would hate to spend $100 to go to a reuion tour and just had the same old same old. There are some good songs Sabbath has created that people just forgot about. I think there should be a reuion "throwback," playing the good songs that people just dont hear about anymore. As a self proclaimed "true Sabbath fan," i think there should be more to a concert than Iron Man, and War Pigs all the time.

June 13 2010 at 5:39 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyScrew Ozzy's 10th solo album. I stopped buying his music after Diary of a Madman. Stopped buying Black Sabbath after Mob Rules. I did buy Dehumanizer, and it is impressive, btw. Bought The Devil You Know, too, and loved it. But I want a new BLACK SABBATH album of all new songs with the original four...while they're still alive. Now that Dio's gone, who knows who's next to kick the bucket. (Might be me!!)
June 09 2010 at 9:37 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDio was NOT an original member! If you are going to post at least have some knowledge as to what you are posting about. You obviously have a computer so look it up!
October 08 2010 at 11:05 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAttention Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill--- One more 'original member' Sabbath concert is on my 'bucket list'. I'd really like to cross this one off, maybe twice!
