Wolfmother Cancel European Tour

Sorry, Wolfmother fans -- the band recently announced that they've scrapped this year's entire European tour. Frontman Andrew Stockdale is sick and apparently too ill to fly, Contactmusic reports. The Australian exports were also scheduled to share the stage with Kiss for a series of shows and support Pearl Jam at Hard Rock Calling on June 25 in London. Those appearances have been cancelled as well.
"We are sorry to announce that Wolfmother have been forced to cancel its full European tour for June and July," the band said in a statement. "Due to medical reasons, Andrew Stockdale, Wolfmother's lead singer, is unable to fly."
While there are no specific details about Stockdale's ailment or condition, the band still plans to go on with their US tour in August.

Wolfmother are one of the only good modern bands on the planet right now! And what's with all this crap that they are unknown!?! Their two albums both reached number 3 in Australia, reached number 22 and 16 in the US and have had several hits througout Europe on top of that. So all the thoughts of them being unknown goes out the window, epecially in the US! I mean, they even won a grammy!!

Saw them live at Bonnaroo in 07 and gotta say their live show pretty much kicks ass. They sound better live then most people sound on studio albums. But this was before the break up and the new members. From what I heard on Cosmic Egg I wasnt to impressed with the new line up.

Who ever said that Daughtry or Kid Rock are better than Wolfmother?! It's just OPINION! You all are so closeminded and judgemental, but yet don't even have slightly educated opinions. It's sad.

You and Brian BOTH are missing the whole point. While Wolfmother very well may be a decent band, the fact is the are literally an UNKNOWN commodity in the music world right now. The fact that AOL chooses to report WOLFMOTHER's tour being canceled just doesn't rise to the level of news.
Many of us here online we can respect that you are fans of this band and I wish them nothing but future success. Again,the vast majority of us here can't understand how Wolfmother canceling its opening act tour rates as news to the masses. It just doesn't rate up there with Aerosmith, Daughtry or Kid Rock, The Stones, Springstein, ect. If one of these bands canceled its tour THAT is NEWS.
