Yoko Ono Wishes Oasis Would Record More Records

Yoko Ono has revealed her disappointment at the break-up of Oasis -- and has said she wishes they would make more records.Speaking through a Q&A on her website, Ono revealed a love for the band, whose singer Liam Gallagher named his son after Ono's late husband, John Lennon.
She said: "I love Oasis. We need the power of goodness like them. The goodness is shining from their music. I hope they will make more albums."
Answering a different question from a fan, Ono also hinted at a possible collaboration with the Flaming Lips, who previously remixed Lennon and Ono's 'Cambridge 1969'.
When asked if she would team-up with the Flaming Lips, she responded in enthusiastic manner.
She said: "I love their music. Something can happen in the future ..."
Ono had recently come under some criticism after Lennon appeared posthumously in an advert for car maker Citroen, with their son Sean Lennon publicly defending his mother. He stated that the reason why Lennon appeared in the advert was not due to financial reasons, but it was down to 'simply wanting to keep him out there in the world', reported Spinner.

As devastating as it must have been at the time, history has proven that it was exactly the right thing to happen. Would you rather the Beatles had held on and become a mockery of themselves, like Guns n Roses, U2, and all of the other old rockers who are releasing albums past their prime? Better to burn out than to fade away :)
I grew up with The Beatles and I think John Lennon wa a fool for breaking up the Beatles-a complete fool!Yoko Ono was just another BIG mistake.

I rec'd your email; follwed the link and ended up back here. Not knowing what else to do, I'm writing this.
Very well said Jim. The term 'oriental strumpet' certainly fits her. She played John like the proverbial fidel in my opinion.
I am ABSOLUTELY no fan of Yoko. She has NO musical talent, she scammed John as far as I am concerned. Any music endorsed by Yoko will be ignored by me. I loved the Beatles. I loved John and his individual talents. In my opinion Yoko seduced John for her own personal gain. I have no appetite for listening to Yoko's shrill voice in my old age. Either of John's sons will deserve my listening. Yoko -- please go home and enjoy your financial winnings. You have NO musical talents.
Your transparency is obvioius to the world.
Big deal, the oriental strumpet is trying to get back in the news. she ruined the Beatles group and proved the saying that Yoko Ono and a starving Ethiopean can live of dead beetles'.An untalented gold digging Japanese expatriate, she should go back to the corners she was working when she caught John's eye - or perhaps his bank account.

It appears to me that was how she met John, was at a showing....also, if you are going to venerate the man, at least spell his name right, it was Lennon, not Lennin.
June 03 2010 at 1:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have been a fan of the Beatles for a long, long time. I have never liked Yoko, can't stand her voice, but I look at it like this, she made John happy and he loved her so that's good enough for me. I didn't have to live with her and I'm glad for that! As for the breakup, at first I blamed her out of anger that my favorite band and the greatest of all time was over. But after looking at it more rationally, the pace they kept on tours, the secluded lives, the pressure meant that the band couldn't go on forever. So it was good while it lasted and we still have the music, which still sounds as good today. I'm glad he got to live in New York for the time that he did. He loved New York.
