I Blame Coco, 'Self Machine' -- Video Exclusive

I Blame Coco are a five-piece fronted by one Coco Sumner who is, for better or worse, the daughter of Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. The 19-year-old Londoner has been a simmering, growing presence on the capital's music scene for the best part of a year, and she and her band released their first single, 'Caeser' in February, a track that featured vocals from Scandinavian pop nymph Robyn.

Sumner also recently teamed up with Fyfe Dangerfield of Guillemots for a version of Neil Young's classic 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart.' Impressively, the Italy-born singer and her band have been signed to Island Records on a six-album deal.

Spinner presents the worldwide exclusive of the video to I Blame Coco's second single, 'Self Machine.' The video was shot at a derelict swimming pool at an abandoned college in Oxfordshire, and is directed by Alex Smith of Warp Films, the man behind Coldplay's 'Yellow' and Manic Street Preachers' 'Empty Souls.'

I Blame Coco's debut album, entitled 'The Constant,' is due for release in September. Watch the video after the jump.

Amazing song, everyone needs a break and Coco's talent is the reason she will be make it far. Daddy can't make it magically top the charts - watch this space because it defo WILL !

Not that bad you lot. Does look and sound like a young Sting though. Obviously this is genetic. Surely someone has said to you lot of cynics that you look like or mimic your parents. Can't be helped.

With Sting's amount of money doesn't have to put herself out there at all.

At least not straddling pink canon like Rihanna!

Oh dear, very disappointing. Definately much more talented people around. Being Stings daughter has got her this far but no further surely?

Oh dear
What a horrible noise - yet another little girl who thinks she can sing.

Securing her future on the back of Daddy I guess !

Sounds like she's another monarch slave like Rihanna, Britney, Christine Aguilera et al to me with those lyrics. All fully paid up to the 'huge success club' whether they're talented or not, so she won't have to worry!

gotta agree with andy she has no talent and only got signed because sting is her dad. music like this is just mainstream garbage that they churn out for the sheeple.

wouldn't have been signed if it wasn't for daddy!

Sadly singing doesn't run in the Sting family. I'd say that this song is Stung! Unable to sing, boring lyrics and below average video. 0 out of 10. www.kevwitch.co.uk

Sorry, but I saw this song live this weekend and it was just briliant. It's an unfair cliche to mention her father at all. keep up the good work coco.
