Sir Elton John Plays at Rush Limbaugh's Wedding

Sir Elton John performed a small show at the weekend at the wedding of the outspoken and controversial Rush Limbaugh. The right-wing talk show host, who has one of the most popular radio programmes in America, has questioned the severity of AIDS in Africa and has faced accusations of homophobia. Sir Elton is reported to have been paid $1m (£690,000) for the performance, with proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS FoundationLimbaugh, 59, wed his partner Kathryn Rogers, 33, at Palm Beach, Fla. The Guardian reports the British singer played into the small hours to around 400 guests, including Republican bigwig Karl Rove and former mayor of New York Rudolph Giuliani.
A report by Reuters last year found that Sir Elton is the "second most expensive wedding performer" going, second only to the Rolling Stones.
That Sir Elton would play the wedding of the notorious shock-jock has surprised some. Last year Limbaugh referred to AIDS in Africa as a "hyped" disease, saying on his radio show, "AIDS is the biggest pile of -- the biggest pot they throw money into."
Limbaugh also caused controversy in 2007, when he said AIDS has "not yet spread to the heterosexual community." In the past Limbaugh has also accused actor Michael J. Fox of exaggerating his Parkinson's disease.

This was definitely a biased and ignorant story of which we can do without.

Elton said he was there to build bridges. What do liberals build ? HATE and division. Amazing isnt it as soon as someone from which ever side does something that is very difficult politically speaking you guys attack them. Yet somehow you are supposedly compassionate. Yeah RIGHT! Liberalism = the children of the world.
