Lollapalooza 2010 Schedule Revealed
- Posted on Jun 8th 2010 5:08PM by Charley Rogulewski
Lollapalooza may be two months away, but ticket holders can already start mapping out their itinerary for the three-day music festival. On Tuesday, organizers of the festival, which will take place in Chicago's Grant Park August 6-8, released the schedule for this year's lineup of over 130 bands. And unless fans have access to golf carts to get them across 20 city blocks and Buckingham Fountain pronto, they're going to have to pick and choose between some favorites. Take Friday for example -- the Black Keys and Hot Chip are up against each other at the 6PM slot, while a reunited Strokes will play on the opposite end of the fest during what's sure to be Lady Gaga's eye-altering closing first-day set. On Saturday, simultaneous sets by Spoon and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros make for another hard decision, while Grammy winners Phoenix, stadium rockers Green Day and Lollapalooza virgins Empire of the Sun will all close out the second day's fun. Day three pits MGMT against Wolfmother mid-day, and Arcade Fire against Soundgarden to close out the fest that evening.
$90 single-day passes and $215 three-day tickets to Lollapalooza are on sale now -- not bad considering that Lady Gaga and Green Day tickets alone will cost you somewhere in the ballpark of $70 each.
